Tokyo GEO-Site Project

I found this today on Mari's blog, Watashi to Tokyo. She always has interesting stuff on her site like this:
Tokyo GEO-Site Project is an awesome look into the underground ducts and tunnels under the huge metropolis. Its in QTVR, so you'll need Quicktime to view it. the views are incredible. Its like straight out of the Matrix or Ghost in the Shell or something. Makes me feel like playing a video game and i don't know why...

Tribulations - LCD Soundsystem

A new music video from Dougal Wilson featuring LCD Soundsystem's single Tribulations. Yeah, i know its more of that disco-ey, shynth-something music. LCD Soundsystem is a good band but with the ga-billion disco sounding bands coming out on an hourly basis, it kinda gets diluted. I wonder when disco will die.... again. Excellent video btw.

The Little Girl Who Was Forgotten

Katy Towell’s cute animated Flash short about a lonely little girl, Emmeline and her own little monster, Mr. Crezil.

Frontline: Is Wal-Mart Good for America?

Wal-Mart, what!? I watched this episode last night in amazement. I've seen the inner-workings of big box retail sellers before, but the show really put their business practices into perspective. American's want their products at the best value, at the lowest price. American business has always been about making business smarter. Wal-Mart just does it at an enormous scale. You have to wonder if the benefits of a cheaper plastic container are worth it. Shenzhen is incredible, is this the shape of globalization to come? Or is it already here?

Tim Burton does Gnome Love

Tim Burton commercial of a Gnome breaking out suburban life is a bit more revealing and less innocent than it seems. A Gnome's got needs too. Quite a small adventure to get some rest and relaxation, don't ya think?

Audio Scrobbler is now Last.FM

They use to have 2 separate websites, now they've combined them, cool.
I haven't been using Audioscrobbler for that long but the idea of having your own personalized radio station of new music based on what you listen to, is keen. It takes awhile before it works, like listen to a 100 songs on your audio player, but if your a music junkie like me, you gotta listen to everything. Some other neat stuff besides finding new music, is finding people that have similar music taste too. Unfortunately for me and my eclectic listening tastes (please kill me now before i become a hipster), my top matches are only at 4% at most. Gee, i thought there would be more people who listen to the same stuff. Hopefully i don't end up breaking their UI model, blah, blah, blah.... oo, they let you tag music too.....

33hz - Hot Flashes Tron Style

So by now your probly wondering how i find time to web surf and find all this cool stuff. I gots a lot of free time, not really, i usually just stumble on to stuff, like this video. Not that i'm into this music but its catchy in a Micheal Jackson sort of "I wanna rock with you" kind of groove. At the end, i was like, "dude, they haole?" Just listen/watch it, it'll make your crappy Friday go by faster, i promise.

Click here for 33hz MySpace website.
Clcik here for Fluorescent Hill, the creative group that produced the video.

Apple Releases iTunes Japan Store

Its been a long time in the waiting but its finally released. I haven't tried to purchase a song yet, but i guess i'll find out soon. No additional download needed, just go to the iTunes Store, scroll to the bottom of the page, and change the store. Looks like Sony owned music isn't on this thing, but i found Lost in Time! Anyway iTunes is a great way to sample music, let's hope they add more Japanese indie bands.

Go Kitty! Go!

Cats, that's right, cats. These agile felines are caught mid-air or mid-wall in cool photos. Pouncing cats, jumping cats, wall climbing cats, flying cats, acro-cats! kawaii!

Bye, Bye Chappelle Show

That's right folks, our favorite non-politically correct show is no more. I heard he whiged out and went to South Africa with out telling anyone. But RedBalls gives you wings, you know this, man!? Apparently he may have had too much RedBalls or some other "stuff". Dude's going nutz. I don' think the Wayne Brady show is gonna cut it.
